Why PDFPuddle exists

The web is full of free PDF tools that aren't really free — they're free until you hit a daily limit, free until you need to remove a watermark, or free until you realise they uploaded your contract to a server in another country. We built PDFPuddle to be different.

What we believe

Document processing should be private by default. The PDF you're working on right now might contain a signed contract, financial data, a medical record, or your personal ID. None of that should travel to a stranger's server just because you wanted to merge two pages.

How PDFPuddle works

Every tool on PDFPuddle is a piece of JavaScript that runs in your browser. We use pdf-lib for writing operations and PDF.js for rendering and text extraction — both open-source libraries used by major companies and trusted across the industry. There is no upload, no server-side processing, no data retention.
